Warren Haynes Christmas Jam
12.18.04
Asheville Convention Center
Asheville, NC

Not your typical Gov't Mule show by any stretch of the imagination. Short but sweet which highlights the band's ability to mesh with guest artists. Those that were there remember the look on Warren’s face when out of nowhere his guitar becomes the loudest instrument in the mix by a factor of 10. It only took about 12 bars to gradually get things under control again but don’t say we didn’t warn you! Have fun with this one.

SONG OF THE NIGHT: Champagne And Reefer

X-Mas Jam Weekend '05
Asheville, NC
12.16.05 and 12.17.05

Ashville in December! You know what that means? It means Warren Haynes is going to pick his favorite musicians and blow the town up. To quote Warren, the 17th annual X-mas Jam, "May be the greatest Christmas Jam ever!" Who would have ever thought Warren, Bill Kreutzmann, Trey Anastasio, Dave Schools, and Marty Stuart would grace the same stage at the same time?! Not to mention the Pre-Jam, which was equally, if not more special! The boards sound great, the musicians sounded great, the crowd sounded and looked great, the town looked great, and best of all it was all for charity! We’ve combined the Pre-Jam show and the X-Mas Jam show into one download; you get to enjoy and experience the entire Gov't Mule weekend. And, we’ve increased the price a bit so we can donate proceeds to the Asheville Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Thanks for supporting the X-Mas Jam and Habitat for Humanity!

Gov’t Mule
X-Mas Jam and Pre-Jam
Asheville Civic Center
Asheville, NC
12.15.06 and 12.16.06

Christmas came early and lasted 2 days for the city of Asheville and those in attendance at The 18th Annual Christmas Jam. Having come from 42 states and as far away as the Czech Republic, the ticket holders to this year's event were about to be overwhelmed with a torrent of talent and list of legends.

The weekend began Friday night at The Orange Peel for the Pre-Jam. Devil Likes It Slow with Branford Marsalis was truly a musical treat to behold. Dave Schools and Randall Bramlett took their turn to the delight of all for Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys and stayed on to welcome Marty Stuart, Taj Mahal, Branford Marsalis, George Porter, Mickey Raphael and a host of others as they closed with Dylan's I Shall Be Released.

Saturday morning saw the Mule crew putting together the final touches for what would be an epic evening of music. As Dave Matthews’ set wrapped up, he and Warren started into Cortez The Killer and as the intensity rose, Matt, Andy and Danny assumed their positions and a full tilt, hard rockin' Cortez made itself known as it roared throughout the arena. Branford Marsalis came to lay his gift at the tree next to Dave Matthews' for a stunning All Along The Watchtower. "Legend" underestimates the talent of Taj Mahal who came to the stage with his Leaving Trunk; a bluesy song that was a first timer for the Mule. Sco-Mule featured the musical stylings of Brendan Bayliss and Dave Schools who remained for Mule with Randall Bramlett.

Sugaree came first as the encore and the band was joined by Marty Stuart, Brendan Bayliss and Taylor Hicks on the harmonica and vocals. For the send off to Christmas Jam 2006, I Shall Be Released was performed with Kevn Kinney, Marty Stuart, Tal Mahal, Randall Bramlett, Ivan Neville and many more. With so many gifts in one weekend, it's almost like having Christmas in December.

Gov't Mule
X-Mas Jam
Asheville, NC
12.15.07

The 19th Annual Warren Haynes X-Mas Jam was a memorable night for many, many reasons, but Gov't Mule's set to close out the night was a highlight of highlights. The set opening up with a perfect version of Beautifully Broken before blowing into the full fledged rock of I'm A Ram, Streamline Woman & Mr. High & Mighty. After that the guests started rolling through. For Fixin' To Die the stage was filled by The Mule, Col Bruce Hampton, Jason Isbell, Bernie Worrell and Ron Holloway. That lead into Peter Frampton and Bernie playing on I Believe to My Soul, which lead into Ron Holloway and Mike Barnes on 32/20 Blues. The encore, and last song of the night was the Tom Waits classic Goin' Out West with the Mule's good friend Audley Freed. As a bonus we have also included the set from the pre-jam, which took place the night before at the Orange Peel. Many of the same guests were there that night as well, the addition being G Love sitting in with the Mule and Bernie for You Don't Love Me. Two nights of great music, all wrapped together in one download. Merry X-Mas Jam from the Mule.
